John Hoyle - aka "The Small Webmaster"

Pretty much a "one man band," John Hoyle, also known as "the Small Web Master," is a web designer, journalist, and entrepreneur based out of Salem, Oregon.

With his 45 years of experience in business management, technical operations and real estate finance, John brings a lot of experience to the table that he can call upon to find a solution to almost any client's problem.

Above all, his experiences have taught him that to be truly successful, you have to enjoy what you are doing. On that count, John is happy man, because he loves almost anything having to do with computers and the Internet.

"I love where I live and what I do," John says, "and I enjoy having easy working relationships with my customers. Over the years, a few have become good friends, and several good friends have also become my clients."

John has been creating websites for himself and others since 1998. His very first website was created for his son-in-law, a Southern California real estate broker. Some of his current clients are also in the real estate industry, but he has customers from a broad spectrum of many business and artistic categories.

John also manages several blogs that comment on everything from politics to religion, as well as his opinions on where to find the best wineries in central Oregon. He is currently working on a new set of websites for a new client that discuss Pacific Northwest lifestyles. "Besides being surrounded by wineries and beautiful scenery, there are many local people with unique hobbies and some rather bizarre interests. My client wants to document and comment on some of these fascinating local residents. He wants to have an eye-catching website and blog that will act as his journal, while attracting wide interest from around the world."

Fascinated with what makes things tick, John is constantly researching the latest techniques in web design, search engine optimization, and online business strategies. His success in optimizing for Google has, at times, been legendary. On several occasions John has actually had sites still in development that showed up on Google's first directory page. Almost all of his client sites appear in Google's first ten organic selections for their own name and primary key words. If one of his websites doesn't perform well in the search rankings, he promises he'll keep tweaking it until it does.

"Sometimes I can get lost in fine-tuning a site, but when it shows up in the top-5 on Google within a few days, I know that my efforts have been worth it all."

John prides himself on the fact that no two of his websites are the same. He enjoys creating and implementing new designs, often researching latest trends and staying current on the latest technologies. He looks forward to building or updating a website for you sometime soon.

Oh, by the way, this "small webmaster" is not so small. He stands just under 6 feet and, sorry to say, is almost as big around as he is tall. The "small" in his business name only refers to the size of the websites he prefers to design.
